Bob’s Discount Furniture today announced a new partnership with Heavenly Productions Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children in distress. As part of the partnership, Bob’s will make donations to all nine states in which it operates, with Heavenly Productions books and CDs going to hospitals, schools and other non-profit organizations. The initial donation under this partnership will be made at the Andrus Children’s Center community event in Tuckahoe.
Cathy Poulin, public relations director at Bob’s Discount Furniture, and Dr. Kathy Fallon, founder of Heavenly Productions Foundation, will deliver “Heavenly Skies & Lullabies” books and CDs, which include bedtime melodies and lullabies, aimed at helping parents and caregivers create a peaceful and relaxing environment for their children. The donation is part of Bob’s Discount Furniture’s Random Act of Kindness program, which focuses on providing aid to schools and children-centered services.
“During the past two years our team has seen the positive impact of Dr. Fallon’s foundation and her work with children who are experiencing difficult times,” said Poulin. “We are excited to partner with Dr. Fallon to bring this wonderful book to children throughout the year.”
Bob’s partnership with Heavenly Productions Foundation began in 2010 when the company sponsored the publishing of the “Heavenly Skies & Lullabies” book, which was used to raise money for children who suffered in Hurricane Katrina. In 2011, the company collaborated with Dr. Fallon to create 1,000 copies of a special Bob’s Discount Furniture edition of “Heavenly Skies and Lullabies.” These books were delivered to the Pajama Program, an organization committed to providing warm pajamas and books to kids around the country, many of whom are waiting for a home.
“I’m so appreciative of the continued support Bob’s has provided Heavenly Productions,” said Dr. Fallon, who will sing some of the lullabies at the event. “Their donations are allowing us to publish more of our books and CDs, which we will distribute to children in the coming months.” For more information on Bob’s Discount Furniture’s charitable programs, visit http://www.mybobs.com/charity.
